Our Story
Founded in 2021 by designer Natasha Gordon, CLEA is an Australian luxury womenswear label shaped by an unwavering appreciation for detail, cut, and finish. Each collection explores the interplay of opposing elements - masculine and feminine, intricate and minimal, structure and fluidity - resulting in pieces that feel both timeless and strikingly modern. Designed to be cherished, CLEA reimagines classic silhouettes with an intuitive approach, where strength meets softness and precision meets an organic sensibility.

About the Designer
Graduating with first-class honours from RMIT University in 2012, Natasha Gordon has spent over a decade shaping a distinct design perspective; one defined by precision, craftsmanship, and an innate understanding of form.
Her creative foundation was sharpened at Alexander McQueen, where she worked alongside Sarah Burton, refining her approach to cut, construction, and the pursuit of uncompromising quality. A return to Australia brought a new dimension to her expertise, deepening her technical knowledge and fostering an appreciation for considered, wearable design.
As the founder and creative director of CLEA, she brings this balance to life, blending structure with fluidity, strength with softness, and classicism with modernity. Each collection is an exploration of exquisite fabrications, clean silhouettes, and intricate detailing, crafted with longevity in mind.

Design Philosophy
CLEA is guided by a philosophy of considered design and a balance of purpose and curiosity. Gordon trained at Alexander McQueen under Sarah Burton, an experience that instilled an instinct to draw inspiration from everywhere - art, nature, architecture - and a refusal to cut corners. Each collection is developed and resolved in-house, where concepts of form, proportion, and the tension between opposing elements are sketched and refined into garments by skilled artisan partners.
Since inception, supplier relationships have been central to how CLEA operates. Long-standing partnerships built on trust, shared values, and a mutual commitment to quality, is as integral to the brand as the collections themselves.
CLEA produces four collections a year, manufacturing in limited numbers. Each piece is designed with intention, to be cherished well beyond a single season.

Craftmanship
Every CLEA garment is built on a foundation of considered construction. Drawing on traditional dressmaking techniques and a discipline of restraint, each piece is shaped to hold its form and wear beautifully over time.
Having grown up with a sound understanding of garment construction, instilled by her grandmother who was a dressmaker, Gordon designs with the knowledge that how a fabric moves and sits against the body is as much a decision as any silhouette. Every fringe placement, embroidered detail, and trim is intentional.
Many pieces carry a unique, hand-resolved detail that makes them unlike anything else, developed in close collaboration with suppliers the label has worked alongside for years. The result is quiet luxury defined by meticulous craftsmanship - finishing, cut, and proportion attended to with equal care.

Materials
CLEA selects materials for their hand, their weight, and the way they hold a silhouette. Fabrics are developed and sourced specifically for each collection - spanning refined natural fibres, technical and specialty fabrications, and artisanal textiles - chosen for longevity and performance as much as beauty. Material is treated as the starting point of every garment, the quality of the cloth setting the standard for everything that follows.
Excellence
Elegant simplicity demands exceptional skill. CLEA combines a respect for traditional craft with a contemporary sensibility, creating enduring pieces designed to outlast season and trend. The brand's commitment is to garments made to be kept - clothing that earns its place in a wardrobe through quality, restraint, and an enduring elegance.
