    Our story

    Founded in 2021, by designer Natasha Gordon, Clea is a premium womens wear label, distinguished by an appreciation for exceptional quality, cut and finish.

    Designed to be cherished, classic silhouettes and wardrobe staples
    are reimagined with a modern approach. Embracing an aesthetic
    which proposes a fresh balance of opposing elements - masculine
    and feminine, textural and clean, strength and softness, intricate and minimal.

    With meticulous attention to detail and carefully considered
    creation, each garment is designed with enduring elements and
    longevity at its core.

    Producing just four collections a year, our decisions are guided by environmental impact. We only manufacture as much as we know we’ll sell and are constantly researching new ways of working, new fibres, new advancements and better practices.

    Focused on the development of meaningful relationships with our suppliers, we are committed to supporting businesses which empower women and prioritise the fair treatment of workers and artisans. Where possible, we support our local manufacturing industry, with key styles being Made in Melbourne.
    OUR FABRIC
    WOOL

    Wool is a diverse, durable and smart fibre. It is temperature regulating (keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter), moisture absorbent (wool fibres can absorb large quantities of moisture vapour then move it away to evaporate into the air), odour resistant, anti-static, stain resistant, fire resistant, biodegradable and renewable

    ALPACA

    With a soft and silky handle and bright lustrous appearance, Alpaca wool is a luxury fibre which does not contain lanolin, making it hypoallergenic This light weight fibre is durable and elastic, odour resistant, stain resistant, fire resistant, biodegradable and renewable.

    TRIACETATE

    Made in Japan, our triacetate fabric is easy-wash and wrinkle resistant, with a beautiful drape, incredible handle and lustre.

    CREPE KNIT

    Our crepe knit is produced using a high twist Viscose blend yarn resulting in a compact and luxurious quality. We only use FSC certified deforestation free Viscose, guarenteeing that the forest from which this fibre is sourced is managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers.

    LACE

    We work with specialized artisans on bespoke developments which are all uniquely designed in house. Each embroidery development begins with a hand drawn sketch and is brought to life when transposed onto the 3d form.
